Chatman discovered her passion for Journalism when she joined Student Gamecock Television her freshman year of college, producing and reporting segments for News4 and Talk of the Town Entertainment show. Her ability to bring awareness to social, political and community occupied-movements across the state of South Carolina, landed her a job at CNN, in Atlanta, Georgia, working as a news production intern for HLN. Chatman covered the George Zimmerman trial on HLN’s After Dark and Morning Express and produced a segment for Evening Express.

Back in South Carolina, Brittaney worked for Carolina News as a reporter, anchor, producer, and director. An intensive eight-hour capstone program, she produced live, daily, 30-minute newscast and content for Carolina News website. In 2014, Brittaney worked as an associate producer of OnPoint with Cynthia Hardy television and radio show. Hardy took Chatman under her wing and served as her mentor by assigning her to produce marketing strategies for Carolina Hair Studios, The Renaissance Foundation’s The Friendship 9, No Fear for Freedom: the Musical, and various conferences throughout Columbia, South Carolina.

Brittaney added documentarian to her name when she produced, directed and edited an Independent documentary for the National Urban League (NUL) entitled, Master League: The Columbia Urban League. The documentary offers an unprecedented first-person insight into brilliant minds of the people behind the Columbia Urban League, one of NUL’s 88 affiliates.

In 2015, Chatman moved to the Big Apple to attend graduate school at Pace University. Since then, she has made her mark working as an Event Marketing Planner at Pace, being recognized as Campus Event Planner of the Year 2016-2017. Chatman stood out among more than 1,700 campuses nationwide for the hardworking and dedication put forth creating memorable activities and events during 2016-17’ for Pace University students.

Brittaney Chatman graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communications. In 2017 Brittaney took on Wall Street, working in Marketing and Communications for Affiliate Services at the National Urban League. Currently Brittaney is an Advertising, Marketing fellow under Verizon, an eight-month rotational program at both Verizon and a handful of its partner agencies. Currently, Chatman is doing Account Management at McCann New York, one of the world's largest advertising agencies. Brittaney works with a team on strategy-based creative approaches to strengthen abilities to unearth consumer insights, highlight behavioral brand truths, creating innovative multiplatform experiences that help clients’ brands play a meaningful role in consumers’ lives.
